Job summary

ICF is seeking a Mid-Level Archaeologist focused on utility-related projects in southern California. The role supports fieldwork and technical writing for public agencies, utilities, and land development, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has fieldwork experience and familiarity with Section 106, NEPA, and CEQA, and can grow skills across field coordination, report preparation, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Archaeology or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in cultural resources management.
• 2+ years of experience conducting field visits in southern and central California.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support field efforts in southern and central California as needed.
• Lead author for survey and monitoring reports.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with ICF staff, client, and subconsultants.
• Meet deadlines, track concurrent ongoing tasks, and produce quality work.
• Lead cultural resources tasks, including fieldwork and report deliverables.
