Job summary

Stantec in Pasadena, CA is seeking a mid-career Staff Archaeologist with 3–5 years CRM field experience in California to join our Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team. Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required.
• 3–5 years CRM field experience in California is required.
• Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience recording archaeological sites and completing DPR 523 forms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key team member on utilities compliance contracts and other projects (office/field).
• Support pedestrian surveys, test excavations, data recovery, and construction monitoring.
• Assist in reporting (CEQA/Section 106), tracking, execution, and review of projects.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and logistics for field efforts.
• Oversee and mentor junior field staff, ensuring professional standards are met.
