LAUKOA is seeking a Mid-level Archaeologist to join its cultural resources team in San Diego. The role partners with the Cultural Resources Program Manager to support client projects and ensure effective reporting and field support.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of archaeology experience, a BA/BS in anthropology or archaeology, and strong communication and organizational skills. Travel and background checks are required for project assignments.

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS in Anthropology/Archaeology or closely related field required.
• At least 4 years of relevant archaeological experience or internships.
• Ability to identify historical and prehistoric artifacts and features.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills; experience recording and reporting is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task, travel as needed, and work independently or with supervision.
• Familiarity with NHPA, NEPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Able to pass federal and state background checks.

Aufgaben

• Support Cultural Resources staff with project management, including monitoring contracts.
• Author or co-author cultural resources reports.
• Supervise field staff and provide logistic support for monitoring projects.
• Review cultural resources reports and coordinate with senior staff.
• Assist business development and manage monthly invoices.
• Oversee projects in the cultural resources program, including budgeting and staffing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
