Job summary

Smoky Mountain Resorts seeks a proven Aquatics Manager to lead waterpark operations, safety, and guest experience. You will supervise lifeguards, manage maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Collaborating with the General Manager and Director of Operations, you will optimize schedules, training, and program implementation to support guest satisfaction and repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years operating a family aquatic center, pool complex, waterpark, or related recreation area.
• Minimum 2 years supervising 10+ team members in aquatics.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• ARC Lifeguard Instructor certification required and re-certification before expiry.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily aquatics operations and staffing.
• Test and qualify lifeguards per American Red Cross prerequisites.
• Ensure water health, safety standards, and compliance with policies.
• Manage budget guidelines for expenses and labor.
• Develop weekly electronic work schedules in line with occupancy.
