Job summary

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is seeking an Assistant Aquatics Manager to oversee the pools, Sopris Splash Zone, bathhouses and related services, ensuring safety, efficiency and guest satisfaction while fostering a positive staff environment.

The role includes staffing lifeguards, verifying ARC Lifeguarding certifications, and supervising ongoing aquatics training; may serve as pool manager on duty as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience with proven ability to lead staff.
• At least 1 year of experience as a lifeguard.
• Experience operating a public pool in a resort setting preferred.
• Current certifications: ARC Lifeguarding required; Lifeguard Instructor preferred; CPR/AED/First Aid required; Water Safety Instructor preferred; CPO or AFO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of pools, Sopris Splash Zone, bathhouses and related services and facilities.
• Ensure operations are safe, efficient and cost-effective while delivering a quality guest experience.
• Staff lifeguards to maintain safe pool operations and ensure certifications are current.
• Provide training to aquatics staff and act as pool manager on duty when required.
