Meta seeks a Security Engineering Manager in its Applied AI organization to lead a team of domain experts across security, privacy, integrity and trust and safety. You’ll balance team health with delivering high-quality expert signals and contribute technically to stay credible in the space.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security, privacy, integrity, trust and safety or related field with hands-on management.
• 4+ years in people management and organizational leadership.
• Deep technical depth in at least one domain (security/privacy/integrity/trust).
• Proficiency in coding with Python, Go, C/C++ or shell scripting.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to redesign workflows and drive impact.
• Ability to lead teams through complex, ambiguous problems where roadmap is not defined.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, and grow a team of engineers across security, privacy, integrity, and trust and safety.
• Own people development end to end: 1:1s, growth planning, performance management.
• Hold accountability for the expert technical signal your team produces and prioritize gaps.
• Connect team strengths to the right workstreams and projects.
• Provide technical direction within the domain and debug issues with leads.
• Maintain direct technical contribution to keep domain judgment current.
• Initiate or advise incubated research projects and internal engagements.
• Collaborate with partner engineering managers and model researchers for successful workstreams.
• Grow individual contributors toward the next level through coaching and opportunities.
• Contribute to recruiting, organizational health and company-wide programs.
