Job summary

CAI is seeking a Sr. Applied AI Architect to lead the technical execution and strategic advisory for applied AI delivery. This full-time, remote position focuses on building scalable AI architectures, guiding tool decisions, and driving client-ready case studies within CAI’s delivery teams.

The role demands deep expertise in LLMs, agentic frameworks, MCP orchestration, and cloud platforms, with a strong track record of producing production-grade AI solutions in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in applied AI, enterprise software, or AI/ML engineering with senior experience
• Proven production-grade AI solutions, end-to-end delivery
• Deep fluency with large language models and agentic frameworks
• Hands-on with enterprise AI platforms: Claude, OpenAI, Databricks, Azure/AWS
• Strong system design, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infra
• Able to communicate architecture to executives and clients
• Experience in regulated Gov/FedRAMP or SOC 2 environments
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering; Master’s preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for agentic AI systems and multi-model workflows
• Own build-vs-buy decisions for AI tooling across use cases
• Develop reusable architectural patterns and integration blueprints
• Drive POC development from internal initiatives to client-ready case studies
• Serve as technical lead for AI solution conversations with executives and procurement
• Mentor junior AI engineers and contribute to the Delivery Team model
• Maintain knowledge of enterprise AI landscape and emerging tools
• Ensure governance, NIST AI framework, GovRAMP compliance in architecture
