The Impact You Will Have In This Role

The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. This includes research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and/or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications beyond the development stage and running in daily operations. This role involves working closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal/external clients to escalate and resolve technical support incidents.

Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Verify analysis performed by team members and implement changes to prevent reoccurrence of incidents
  • Resolve Critical application alerts in a timely fashion including production defects, providing business impact and analysis to teams, handling minor enhancements as needed
  • Review and update knowledge articles and runbooks with application development teams to ensure information is current
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide answers to application issues and escalate as needed
  • Validate and respond to requests for information from ongoing audits
  • Review and execute Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, providing BCM evidence as needed
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort associated with application monitoring
  • Partner with development teams to provide input into the design and development stages of applications
  • Execute pre-production/production application code deployment plans and end-to-end vendor application upgrade processes (e.g., SNOW, SF)
  • Integrate risk and control processes into daily responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
