Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Application Security Penetration Tester to lead advanced testing across on-prem and cloud portfolios. You will craft attack plans, deliver actionable remediation guidance to development teams, and scale capabilities with agentic AI workflows to cover complex architectures.

In this role you will help drive risk-based decisions, champion proactive security, and mentor junior staff within Cisco's Application Security team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, Master’s plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year in application-level penetration testing.
• Offensive security across web/mobile networks and distributed systems.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Develop and maintain custom tooling using Python or Bash.

• Lead advanced penetration testing engagements for on‑prem and cloud portfolios.
• Craft sophisticated attack plans and provide remediation guidance to development teams.
