Cisco is seeking a Senior Software Security Lead to own security for the IT and Enterprise Operations portfolio. You will influence architecture, threat modeling, and secure design across teams to balance risk and delivery.

The role emphasizes AI‑enabled security, risk‑based prioritization, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and BIS partners to align security with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field and 7+ years in software security or related roles.
• Experience leading threat modeling and secure design reviews for complex software, including AI features.
• Ability to translate SAST/DAST/SCA results into risk-based remediation across CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to influence engineering and product leadership without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Be the security authority for the IT and Enterprise Operations portfolio.
• Translate threat trends and security debt into prioritized actions for leadership.
• Advise across Product Management, Engineering, IT/EO, and BIS partners.
• Set architecture bar and lead security-by-design decisions portfolio-wide.
• Define and drive security engineering metrics to reduce risk and improve adoption.
