Job summary

System One is seeking a Lead API Developer to design, develop, and govern enterprise APIs and backend services across Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Dallas. The role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership in a hybrid work model, guiding API standards and best practices within an Agile environment.

You will leverage 10+ years in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices to deliver scalable RESTful services, integrate with internal/external systems, and mentor engineers across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
• 8+ years of RESTful and/or SOAP web services development.
• Experience with REST APIs, XML, JSON, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• 5+ years of Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with Release Management and production deployment.

We are seeking a Lead API Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices to lead the design, development, and support of enterprise-scale APIs and backend services.
