Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a Lead API Developer to guide design, development, and support of enterprise-scale APIs and backend services.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor developers, and drive API best practices in an environment blending onsite and remote work across Pittsburgh/Cleveland/Dallas. The role emphasizes Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices, with substantial RESTful/SOAP experience and hands-on leadership in agile teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
• 8+ years of RESTful and/or SOAP web services development.
• Experience with REST APIs, XML, JSON, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• 5+ years of Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with Release Management and production deployment.
