Job summary

The Jove Apartments in Allen, TX, is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to support preventative, corrective, emergency, and cosmetic repairs across the property. This role prepares units for new residents and emphasizes safety, quality, and resident service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of apartment/property maintenance experience, with HVAC and EPA certifications. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, plus bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years in apartment/property maintenance.
• HVAC certification (required, Optional) and EPA Freon handling certification.
• Pool/spa and pest control certification (in-house) (CPO).

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing work orders, make-readies, and preventative maintenance.
• General maintenance including basic plumbing/electrical (non-licensed).
• Appliance installation and troubleshooting.
• Drywall repair, carpentry, painting, and hardware replacement.
• Pool care and pest control (if done in-house).
• Identify and resolve safety hazards around the property.
• Maintain records of maintenance requests and completed work.
• Provide excellent resident and vendor service.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
