Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in San Diego, CA seeks a Principal Scientist to advance antibody engineering within the Therapeutic Discovery Sciences Department. You will design, implement, and interpret experiments to inform early-stage research and develop next-generation antibody therapeutics.

Qualifications

• PhD with 4+ years (academia/industry) in relevant field.
• Hands-on antibody engineering: design, expression, purification, characterization.
• Experience leading bench work and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead antibody engineering campaigns from concept through lead nomination.
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot workflows for affinity maturation and humanization.
• Characterize antibodies using SEC, SPR/BLI, and related assays.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance programs.
