Job summary

Lilly in San Diego is seeking an associate-level scientist to join the BioTDR Protein Engineering group, focusing on antibody discovery and engineering and optimization of therapeutic proteins.

You will design experiments, collaborate across teams in San Diego and Indianapolis, and contribute to next-generation large molecule therapeutics, with emphasis on molecular biology, biochemistry, and automation; onsite lab position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or a related STEM field with at least 3 years of lab experience.
• Experience in protein engineering and antibody discovery/engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Lilly does not sponsor work visas.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform experiments to identify next generation of large molecule therapeutics.
• Build and improve protein engineering platforms and workflows.
• Perform molecular biology, cloning, and expression assays; maintain records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in San Diego and Indianapolis.
• Document results in electronic notebooks and reports.
