Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of antenna, radome, and RCS ranges and chambers in Tucson, AZ. The role includes technical oversight, mentoring, and collaboration with government programs to establish requirements and validate compliance.

This onsite position requires the ability to obtain interim U.S. clearance and offers relocation based on eligibility, with a salary range of 107,500–204,500 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including testing antennas/radomes in a chamber or test range, operating an antenna/radome/RCS chamber or range, and understanding antenna/sensor measurement theory and range operation.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government security clearance prior to start date with potential to obtain special program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Develop antenna, radome, advanced sensor systems, and/or RCS ranges/chambers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate range/chamber requirements and test equipment.
• Oversee implementation of new ranges/chambers and coordinate with service suppliers.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other employees across the business.
