UofL Health, Inc. is seeking an anesthesia technician to assist the anesthesia provider with preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies for operating rooms in Louisville, KY.

You will support routine and complex cases by preparing devices, monitoring systems, medicines, and supplies before, during, and after anesthesia procedures. The role requires aseptic technique, device troubleshooting, and collaboration with the anesthesia team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• College courses in Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology preferred.
• Prior anesthesia technician or patient-care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacology preferred.
• BLS by AHA required; ASAT certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Directs ordering anesthesia supplies and prepares equipment for operating rooms.
• Maintains and stocks anesthesia equipment and rooms; ensures timely turnover.
• Responds to pages for anesthesia turnover between cases and assists with equipment troubleshooting.
• Responds to alarms and assists with troubleshooting anesthesia devices and lines.
• Assists with patient transport, ABGs and blood glucose testing under direction of anesthesia staff.
