Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy is seeking a senior Analytics Engineering leader to own the semantic layer in Unity Catalog and drive data product development for self-service analytics. You will partner across governance, architecture, and BI teams to ensure consistent, governed metric views and scalable data products.

You will lead a team in a hybrid work setting, shaping standards, mentoring engineers, and delivering trusted analytics inputs for BI dashboards and AI model integrations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive data/analytics engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people management or team lead capacity.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with Databricks: Unity Catalog, metric views, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture.
• Demonstrated experience owning or building a semantic layer function and data product development.
• Proficiency in SQL and PySpark; able to set engineering standards and guide architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Owns the Unity Catalog semantic layer as the canonical source of truth for metrics and data products.
• Establishes standards for metric view design, naming conventions, versioning, and documentation.
• Partners with Data Architecture, Data Governance, and QA to ensure governance and quality.
• Leads development of reusable data products in Unity Catalog and promotes self-service analytics.
• Builds a culture around semantic layer discipline and career growth for the team.
