Job summary

Brahma Consulting Group is seeking a Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer in Boston. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office per week, and focuses on leading the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks for upcoming tape-outs.

You will own large portions of chip architecture and perform hands-on layout and verification while collaborating across IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to deliver silicon-grade results.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience in CMOS processes.
• Experience across PLLs, ADCs, SerDes, bandgaps, regulators, oscillators.
• Strong transistor-level intuition and ability to dive deep into circuits.
• Proven track record with multiple tape-outs and full ownership from architecture to silicon.
• Hands-on layout mindset in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of analog and mixed-signal blocks for upcoming tape-outs.
• Own large portions of chip architecture, possibly as design lead on multiple chips.
• Perform hands-on layout and verification (DRC, ERC, LVS).
• Contribute to lab testing and validation of fabricated silicon.

Principal Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

Type: Full-time

What you'll do

• Lead the design of analog and mixed-signal blocks (ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, SerDes, oscillators, dividers) for upcoming tape-outs
• Own large portions of chip architecture, potentially as design lead on one of several planned chips
• Perform hands-on layout and design verification (DRC, ERC, LVS)
• Contribute to lab testing and validation of fabricated silicon
• Collaborate across IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams

Responsibilities

• 6+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design using CMOS
• Both analog and mixed-signal experience across the block set: PLLs, ADCs, SerDes, bandgaps, regulators, oscillators
• Multiple tape-outs with full block ownership from architecture through silicon
• Strong transistor-level intuition and willingness to go deep on any circuit
• Comfortable in a hands-on startup where everyone does their own layout
