Job summary

The AM Cook at Avion Hospitality is responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of all food items for the restaurant, dining outlets, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets, ensuring high standards and appetizing results. This role requires leadership, strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and adherence to food safety and brand standards.

Candidates should have supervisory experience and either a culinary degree with at least one year of progressive

Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of related progressive kitchen experience or culinary graduate with at least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
  • Ability to convey information clearly and to evaluate and respond quickly under pressure.
  • Ability to assimilate complex information and coordinate with multiple stations.

Responsibilities

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Supervise and assist in food preparation for the Restaurant/Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service and Banquets.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness; ensure proper storage and rotation of all food items.
  • Ensure timely preparation of food and adherence to Avion Hospitality standard recipes.
  • Supervise and assist on kitchen line; support any position that needs help.
  • Train staff on kitchen equipment, recipes, and safety procedures.
