Fayetteville Technical Community College invites qualified applicants for the Lead Allied Health Instructor position. The role oversees Phlebotomy and RMA programs, provides quality instruction, and builds connections with clinical affiliates and employers.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of teaching/clinical Phlebotomy or RMA experience, current Phlebotomy certification from ASPT/AMT/ASCP, and a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an associate degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher not required; high school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASPT/AMT/ASCP required.
• RMA/CMA/AMT certification; 3 years teaching/clinical Phlebotomy or RMA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate Phlebotomy and RMA courses (classroom, lab, hybrid, online).
• Lead and mentor instructors and coordinate clinical placements with partners.
• Develop program improvements and maintain employer relationships.
• Monitor enrollment, retention, and completion KPIs; support strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Dean on new program development and workforce initiatives.

The Lead Instructor will provide quality instruction to students; to maintain awareness of the role of Continuing Education in the overall College mission; to understand services available to students; to develop business and industry linkages; and to participate in in-service development opportunities.

Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Teach classroom, laboratory, hybrid, and online courses as assigned.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of the Phlebotomy and RMA programs, and other Health Programs.
• Assist with strategic planning, enrollment growth, retention initiatives, and program improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators including enrollment, retention, completion, certification pass rates, and employment outcomes.
• Coordinate course assignments and instructional schedules.
• Mentor, train, and support adjunct and full-time instructors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clinical affiliates, healthcare employers, and community partners.
• Coordinate clinical placements for PBT and RMA
• Coordinate advisory committee meetings and employer engagement activities.
• Collaborate with the Dean on new program development and workforce initiatives.
• Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED .
• Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant ( RMA ), Certified Medical Assistant ( CMA ) or Allied Health Instructor ( AMT ).
• Must have current Phlebotomy certification from one of the following organizations:
  • ASPT
  • AMT
  • ASCP
• Must have 3 years’ teaching and clinical experience in Phlebotomy or RMA .
