Job summary

Verkada is seeking a leader to run the full‑stack Alarms Core team, building and improving the user‑facing software and cloud services behind Verkada Alarms. You’ll own the desktop and mobile experiences in Verkada Command and the alarm panels’ cloud interactions.

The role demands 5+ years in software engineering with strong leadership, frontend/backend expertise, and a track record of delivering scalable, high‑quality products.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading a team of engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• 5+ years in software engineering with leadership and scalable design experience.
• Experience with frontend and backend development.
• Proficient in agile software development and project management.
• Adept at cross-functional collaboration and effective communication.
• Passionate about technology and attention to product polish.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Alarms Core team and mentor engineers.
• Build delightful, market-winning products for Verkada Alarms.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to plan roadmaps.
• Plan and drive project execution with cross-functional teams.
• Drive product quality, reliability, and user experience.
• Partner with other product teams to extend Verkada’s platform.
