Job summary

The City of Charlotte's Aviation Department is seeking a lead electrician at Charlotte Douglas International Airport to perform high level electrical work, install wiring, cabling, lights and switches, locate and repair malfunctions, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep systems running reliably.

The role requires a high school diploma, NC State Electrical License, and at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and codes.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and complete paperwork.
• Lead others on the job site and supervise in absence of supervisor.
• Minimum five years of related electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide lead direction and training to other employees in the field.
• Coordinate with inspectors and tenants on airport projects.
• Inspect and service systems to keep facilities in working order.
