Works as a lead electrician at Charlotte Douglas International Airport primarily performing high level work installing wiring, plugs, cabling, lights and switches; locating and repairing malfunctions in electrical circuits/equipment; inspecting, servicing, testing, performing PM’s and repairing systems. Performs other general maintenance work incidental to above duties as necessary to keep buildings in working order, including basic HVAC and plumbing.

Uses a variety of electrical and hand tools. Physical Requirements: Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing, climbing, or walking extended periods of time Moderate to Heavy lifting and carrying; regular crouching, stooping, squatting, crawling, reaching, pushing, and pulling when performing tasks Adequate vision, hearing, and speech required Sensory Requirements: Concentrated and attentive use of one or more senses (touch, visual, audio, and other sensory modalities) for mechanical work Ability to operate in an environment with frequent interruptions from people and or noises, which in return could result in some level of stress, fatigue, or strain Comprehensive of written information in work related documents Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech undefined General Information: Standard shift hours apply. Hours subject to change and overtime. Works assigned shift, subject to emergency call back to work during emergencies, urgent situations, special events and inclement weather. Valid driver’s license with no more than 6 points and the ability to obtain and maintain a City driving permit.
