Job summary

Harvey Nash seeks a Staff Systems Test Engineer to join the Systems Test Team in Fremont, CA, onsite with occasional travel to Hollister and Mountain View facilities. You will commission and operate test assets used for Development, Integrated Testing and V&V of Aircraft Systems.

Responsibilities include leading test asset specs, plans and scripts, automating tests, data collection, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering degree.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience operating test assets and executing tests.
• Experience with complex System Level testing.
• Knowledge of Aircraft System Architectures and/or High Voltage power distribution.
• Experience managing Complex Test program and Multi-Functional teams.
• This role may require travel to facilities in Mountain View, Hollister, and other testing sites.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with solution orientation.
• Excellent communication adaptable to audience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and operate complex Integrated System Test assets.
• Drive cross-functional team to develop Test Asset Specifications, Plans and Scripts.
• Develop test assets from requirements to commissioning.
• Write test specifications, assembly, operation and maintenance manuals.
• Create Test Procedures, Plans and Scripts.
• Review wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Select data acquisition devices and integrate them into test setups.
• Automate test execution, data collection and post-processing to improve cadence and safety.
• Support procurement and maintenance of test fixtures and external suppliers.
• Define Certification and Conformity path for the integrated test asset.
• Execute Manual and Automated Test cases and analyze results.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues during testing.
• Maintain test assets, configuration management and calibration logs.
