Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA, has an opening for Principal/Sr Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation team. As a lead, you will manage a small group of engineers and own acceptance tests, ATPs, and TRRs, bridging the gap between systems engineers and production.

The role requires broad proficiency across electrical, RF, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines, with strong communication to internal stakeholders and external organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with minimum experience per level or higher degree.
• Experience in a system test environment and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead test development, ATPs, and integration test procedures.
• Host test planning groups and coordinate reviews for ATP approvals.
• Lead Test Readiness Reviews and provide real-time testing support.
• Act as technical expert for aircraft systems and mentor execution staff.
• Collaborate with design/analysis to define data needs and resources.
• Participate in post-test data evaluations and issue resolution.
