West Star Aviation seeks a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality, timely completion of aircraft maintenance tasks. The role emphasizes strong problem solving, project flow management, and safety compliance.

The successful candidate will train and mentor staff, supervise daily operations, and coordinate with customers on project management and pricing while maintaining FAA standards and excellent communication in English.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required and Airframe and Powerplant License.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred; 4+ years in program specific airframes.
• Minimal supervision and ability to lead small groups.
• Must perform all work in accordance with FAA guidelines and safety rules.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the team to complete daily tasks, using good judgment on when to involve management.
• Turnover work to the next shift effectively.
• Train and mentor technicians on projects.
• Supervise team members and manage multiple projects with emphasis on schedule and quality.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including panel and component work, and sheet metal repairs.
