West Star Aviation Inc. in Statesville, NC is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians on the Weekend Day Shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM).

The role emphasizes high quality, safety, and FAA compliance while coordinating multi-project workloads in a hangar environment. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in aviation maintenance, A&P license, and strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• Valid driver's license; passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Ensure a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Identify opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time within area of responsibility.
• Assist in training/mentoring technicians on assigned projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and performance.
• Independently manage projects and lead multiple projects with schedule and quality focus.
• Perform general mechanical work on aircraft and related systems including panels and components.
