West Star Aviation is seeking a Falcon Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians in delivering high-quality maintenance on aircraft in Grand Junction, CO. This full-time on-site role emphasizes leadership, hands-on mechanical work, and strict adherence to FAA guidelines.

The position requires 8+ years in aviation maintenance, with 4+ years on program-specific airframes, and a strong focus on process improvement, training, and customer coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe/Powerplant License required.
• A valid driver’s license is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Reduce aircraft turn time within area of responsibility.
• Train and mentor technicians assigned to projects.
• Supervise team in daily workload and project execution.
• Perform general mechanical work on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems as designated.
• Inspect aircraft and components as designated.
• Coordinate projects with customers and teams; communicate in English.
