Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician at our Grand Junction, CO facility. This on-site, full-time role demands leading a team of technicians to deliver high-quality maintenance tasks, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and adherence to FAA guidelines.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in aviation maintenance, 4+ years in program-specific airframes, and holds an Airframe and Powerplant license.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.
• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• Valid driver’s license and/or passport ideal but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to produce high-quality, timely results.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects and supervise daily workload.
• Coordinate multi-project schedules and ensure turn-around times.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Comply with FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
