Job summary

West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Team Lead for aviation maintenance to supervise a skilled crew and direct project flow, with deep knowledge of engine and aircraft systems. You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and supervise inspections, coordinating with the Program Manager.

This role requires 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, 4+ years on program-specific aircraft, strong leadership, and customer-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• 10 years’ experience on aircraft maintenance preferred; 4+ years on program-specific aircraft.
• Leads and mentors technicians; strong leadership and customer interaction required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of aviation maintenance technicians.
• Provide daily oversight of technicians, schedule work, and ensure on-time aircraft deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety protocols and company policies.
• Coordinate projects with Program Manager and other Team Leads to meet goals.
• Communicate effectively in English with customers and team members.
