Job summary

West Star Aviation in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality work and strict FAA compliance. You will supervise daily tasks, troubleshoot systems, and coordinate multiple projects while maintaining excellent communication in English.

Required are 8+ years in aviation maintenance, 4+ years on program-specific airframes, a High School diploma or equivalent, and an A&P license.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and A&P license required.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program-specific airframes.
• Able to supervise and mentor technicians; follow FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs and manage day-to-day tasks with good judgment.
• Implement strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to projects and supervise daily workload.
• Work independently on projects and lead multiple projects with good scheduling.
• Perform mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, including panels, repair, and sheet metal.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems; inspect aircraft and components.
• Coordinate aircraft movements, testing, and maintenance; communicate in English.
• Support project management, pricing, and customer-facing duties.
