Job summary

Flightstar Aircraft Services, LLC is seeking a Lead Mechanic to supervise and direct a team of mechanics on Boeing transport category work. You will assign, review and approve work, coordinate with Planners, and ensure accurate maintenance entries on forms and work orders.

At least 4 years Boeing maintenance experience; 2 years in a lead role preferred; Repairman’s Certificate or Airframe License required. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform maintenance on aircraft and climb with gear
• Mental ability to understand and apply complex instructions and diagrams
• Strong reading, writing and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Mechanics and Jr Mechanics, assign and direct work
• Assess and prioritize job cards and coordinate with Planners
• Maintain daily Lead assignment sheets and ensure proper sign-off
• Ensure maintenance entries on forms and work orders are completed
• Maintain NSA-MF-22 turnover report and sign off completed work records
• Represent team by signing records for work performed as required by regulations
• Identify problems with related causes and drive timely resolution
• Enforce adherence to RII procedures and safety standards
• Read, understand and apply manuals for Repair Station and Quality Control
• Perform duties of Mechanic/Jr Mechanic as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
