Job summary

Aircraft Specialists and PrivateFlite Aviation, based near Louisville, KY, seeks a Lead Inspector to oversee inspection activities in our Part 145 repair station. You will verify compliance with FAA regulations, review documentation, and support the Return-to-Service process to ensure safety and airworthiness.

The role requires 5–7 years of inspection experience, A&P certification, and strong knowledge of Part 145/43/65.

Qualifications

Must hold FAA A&P certification in good standing.
5–7 years of aviation maintenance inspection experience.
Strong knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145, Part 43, and Part 65.
Ability to interpret aircraft data, manuals, service bulletins, and engineering drawings.
Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform inspections on aircraft components and systems.
Verify maintenance and repair activities comply with FAA Part 145 and manufacturer data.
Review work packages for airworthiness before return-to-service.
Direct and mentor inspection staff to ensure consistent practices.
Review maintenance documentation for accuracy and traceability.
