Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is hiring a Lead Deicer in Anchorage, AK. The role focuses on removing ice from aircraft, inspecting for ice and frozen contamination, and applying deicing fluids. Leads coach peers and monitor performance to uphold safety standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, be at least 18, and possess basic computer skills, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. On-the-job training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Successful completion of IDS training and obtain a SIDA airport badge.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and ensure policies are followed correctly.
• Uphold duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft for airlines and IDS.
• Participate in pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (check equipment, trucks, and glycol servicing gear).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books; log maintenance issues and follow shutdown procedures.
