Job summary

IDS Inland Deicing Services, LLC in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Lead Deicer to supervise de/anti-icing operations on aircraft. The role includes inspecting aircraft for ice, guiding deicing teams, and ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-event planning, equipment checks, and proper shutdowns, with opportunities for mentorship and on-the-job training. Prior leadership experience in aviation deicing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Intermediate computer skills
• Must read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
• Must be able to verbally direct in English

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations and follow company policies
• Inspect aircraft for frozen contamination and supervise de/anti-icing activities
• Participate in pre-planning for de/ice events (check equipment and servicing gear)
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, complete paperwork and logs, report maintenance issues
