Job summary

State Street is seeking a Lead AI Security Automation Engineer to shape cybersecurity data, analytics, and AI-powered platforms. You will lead a team delivering agentic AI solutions and secure, scalable AI platforms for enterprise security operations.

The role combines AI, cybersecurity, data engineering, and software development, with hybrid in-office requirements and a focus on governance, safety, and rapid, AI-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS, AI, cybersecurity or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years developing AI, ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• Experience in cybersecurity analytics or operational intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of AI Automation Engineers.
• Architect scalable, agentic AI platforms for security workflows.
• Design production-grade AI systems including agents, memory patterns, guardrails, and tool-use orchestration.
• Develop retrieval and context-engineering approaches (embeddings, semantic search, grounding).
• Engineer cloud-native AI solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP using containers/serverless patterns.
• Optimize platform performance across latency, throughput, scalability and cost controls.
• Build APIs and integrations connecting AI capabilities to security platforms and processes.
• Establish evaluation, testing, and observability frameworks for AI agent quality.
