Job summary

State Street’s Cyber Data & Analytics (CyberDNA) team seeks a Security Data Solutions Engineer to shape cybersecurity data platforms, analytics, and AI-powered solutions across on-prem and cloud.

You will partner with security operations, platform engineering, and product teams to design scalable data solutions that support SIEM, automated analytics, and next-generation cyber defense capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field such as CS, cybersecurity, or data engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data engineering, AI/ML, security analytics, SIEM engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise-scale data products, lakes, lakehouse, and data warehouses.
• Advanced expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake and cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience with SIEM data onboarding, normalization, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for security data solutions supporting SIEM, detection engineering, threat hunting, and AI-enabled use cases.
• Define data requirements, onboarding priorities, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes for security data products.
• Design enterprise-scale telemetry solutions for on-prem, cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Analyze source systems, log schemas, retention needs, and downstream analytics requirements to define onboarding strategies.
• Design workflows for onboarding security data from apps, cloud, identities, infra, networks, databases, and endpoints.
