Job summary

Pearson seeks a strategic and hands-on Lead Specialist- AI Scientist to design, build, deploy, and scale production AI/ML capabilities powering learner intelligence, knowledge graphs, recommendations, and personalized learning experiences.

This role bridges AI research, data science, software engineering, and product delivery, leading ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and knowledge graph solutions from concept to production, with a focus on measurable learner and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and deploying production AI/ML systems with cloud-native apps.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs or agentic AI.
• Proficiency in Python, APIs, CI/CD, testing, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and operation of production AI capabilities for learner intelligence and personalization.
• Build AI platform services, APIs, and workflows to scale across Pearson products.
• Own end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototyping to monitoring and improvement.
• Establish MLOps/AIOps practices for training, deployment, observability, governance, and cost.
