Job summary

Pearson is seeking an AI Platform Lead to design and deliver production AI capabilities, including learner intelligence, personalization, recommendations, knowledge graphs, and AI-powered learning experiences. You will build scalable AI services, APIs, and workflows, and own the end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from experimentation through deployment and governance.

Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Learning Science, and Data Science teams, you will advance Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production AI/ML systems
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or agentic AI
• Proficiency in Python and production-grade software practices
• Experience designing scalable AI platforms in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment of production AI capabilities
• Deliver Generative AI, LLM, RAG, and agentic AI solutions
• Build reusable AI platform components and APIs
• Own end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototype to production
• Establish scalable MLOps/AIOps practices for model training, deployment, observability, governance
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Learning Science, Data Science teams
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and architectures
• Establish best practices for responsible AI, evaluation, and governance
• Mentor engineers and data scientists and elevate AI capabilities across Pearson
• Communicate strategy, decisions, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders
