HighLevel is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the AI Studio team to build an AI-powered application builder that generates production-ready React websites and apps from natural language prompts. This hands-on role focuses on scalable AI systems, distributed backend services, and technical excellence across AI-powered generation and deployment.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Go (Golang) and Node.js/NestJS.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, Cloudflare Workers/KV, or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI frameworks.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like Vue.js.
• Excellent problem-solving, system design, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build scalable backend systems using Go, Node.js/NestJS, and microservices.
• Develop AI-powered application generation pipelines using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Build high-performance distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Optimise platform reliability, observability, and performance using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and structured logging.
• Implement AI safety mechanisms, guardrails, and hallucination mitigation strategies.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Firestore, Cloudflare Workers/KV, and modern cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions while remaining a hands-on contributor.
