Job summary

Meitner Energy is seeking a hands-on AI Platform Lead and Solutions Architect to design, build, secure, and operate the company’s private AI platform. You’ll own the model-serving architecture, gateway and routing layer, retrieval pipeline, and hosting design that separates regulated from non-regulated workloads.

You will also steward the corporate cloud and infrastructure architecture, guide security, compliance, and export-control interfaces, and set engineering standards for a high-assurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years in software or infra engineering.
• 3+ years designing and operating LLM or retrieval-augmented platforms.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput model-serving frameworks.
• Strong cloud architecture with declarative IaC practices.
• Experience with export-controlled or regulated data environments.
• Proven standards for code review, testing, and release governance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to work on-site in Dallas and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture of Meitner’s private AI platform, including model-serving stack and routing layers.
• Lead evaluation and sequencing of open-weight and proprietary models; design GPU infrastructure.
• Set and enforce code-quality, review, testing, and release governance standards.
• Own corporate cloud architecture across public clouds and on-premises, with security and data residency in mind.
• Interface with security, compliance, and export-control teams; communicate decisions to executives and teams.
