Job summary

Chamberlain Group, a global leader in intelligent access, is seeking a lead engineer to build workflows and tools for Builder Tools and AI DLC platforms. You will shape architecture for cloud agents, Cortex code index, and related systems, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable software.

The role requires deep software development and documentation expertise, with a history of guiding large platforms and ensuring security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or engineering related field.
• Advanced degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Experience creating technical documentation is required.
• Experience defining functional process improvements and implementing change.
• Experience researching technologies and setting long-term technical vision.
• Experience establishing software development lifecycles and standards.
• Experience building scalable, reliable software platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft tech stack: .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, Visual Studio.
• Experience with GIT, NoSQL databases, and messaging systems.
• Extensive experience documenting standards for others to follow.

Responsibilities

• Drive the AI DLC process and mentor the software org on AI in development.
• Create AI platforms for Builders; set architectural guidelines for tools.
• Report Builder Tools and AI DLC strategy to Engineering leadership.
• Oversee design reviews to maintain high-quality software.
• Assess scope and changes to codebase across multiple scrum teams.
• Collaborate with infra, database, and frontend teams on features.
• Analyze requirements and produce thoughtful large-scale designs.
• Lead technical discussions in communities of practice.
