Job summary

MaintainX, now part of Autodesk, seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the AI Builder Tools team. You will guide platform engineers, drive autonomous coding agents, and advance the SDLC tooling across development, testing and deployment.

The role focuses on mentoring engineers, delivering robust CI/CD, containerized environments, and scalable agent frameworks, while communicating progress to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Software Development management experience.
• Strong technical foundation in developer tooling, CI/CD, containerization, and distributed systems.
• Experience in technical design, problem-solving, and project management.
• Passion for hiring, coaching, and developing diverse platform engineering teams.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: shipped an AI coding agent or contributed to a DevEx/platform initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of platform engineers, driving delivery, quality, and innovation on our agentic SDLC platform.
• Partner with Engineering Leadership and Platform teams to scope, plan, and deliver infrastructure for autonomous coding agents.
• Lead, mentor, and grow developers, building skills in agent frameworks and tooling.
• Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support team goals.
• Champion software development excellence with CI/CD pipelines, containers, observability, and orchestration.
• Provide visibility into team impact and risks to senior leadership with metrics.
