Job summary

UDig is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant who will lead engineering teams and drive delivery of cloud-native, full-stack solutions. You’ll act as a player-coach, shaping technical direction while maintaining hands-on craft across software and data workstreams.

You will champion AI-native delivery practices, set quality gates, and mentor engineers, while engaging with clients and facilitating design sessions.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of software engineering experience with progression into technical leadership.
• Experience in a technology consulting environment and client-facing delivery.
• Fluency across the full engineering stack: backend APIs, frontend, cloud, and data systems.
• Hands-on cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of data engineering contexts: pipelines, warehousing, and data-aware systems.
• Proven mentoring experience with engineers and delivering feedback.
• Strong communication: technical discussions with engineers and strategic talks with client leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in a player-coach capacity, coding and reviewing work.
• Architect and deliver full-stack, cloud-native solutions across software and data domains.
• Champion AI-native delivery: define AI workflows and quality gates.
• Facilitate design sessions, architecture reviews, and client whiteboards.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to enforce standards and teach juniors.
• Drive agile delivery: planning, grooming, sprints, retrospectives, demos.
• Build relationships with client leads and project sponsors; translate tech tradeoffs to business terms.
• Create reusable patterns, frameworks, and docs for future engagements.
