Job summary

Robots & Pencils is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-domain systems spanning cloud, data, and AI. You will own architectural direction and serve as the senior technical voice on engagements, partnering with leadership and clients to shape strategy.

As a seasoned engineer, you will mentor teams, define infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and governance, and drive performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Deep cloud platforms expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience designing AI/ML systems for production.
• Strong stakeholder communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy and lead architecture across cloud, data, and AI/ML engagements.
• Architect scalable multi-cloud and hybrid solutions.
• Design data warehouses, data lakes, and pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Lead AI/ML model serving and MLOps pipelines.
• Define infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and DevOps standards.
• Mentor engineers and act as the senior technical voice on engagements.
