Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to join the AI Transformation and Experience team. This remote role focuses on designing, building, testing, deploying, and improving AI capabilities and algorithms used across enterprise and government programs.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor staff, and deliver production-ready ML solutions with strong performance. You will work with Python, C++, and cloud platforms across AWS/Azure/GCP, ensuring scalable, reliable deployments and hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 7+ years of professional advanced algorithm building and data science experience.
• 7+ years of professional Data Science or advanced algorithm building experience.
• 5+ years of experience designing or building solutions in cloud environments.
• 3+ years of experience with AI/ML or related technologies.
• Experience deploying algorithms in production systems outside notebooks.
• Experience building algorithms with AI, ML, or managed AI services.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
