Workday, Inc. is seeking a Principal/Senior AI Engineer for the Agent Factory to lead end-to-end design, integration, and delivery of intelligent agents within Workday’s enterprise platform.

You will orchestrate AI capabilities across agent frameworks, ensure safe data handling, and push for scalable, low-latency solutions while collaborating with product, security, and platform teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• 2+ years building production-grade LLM/agentic systems OR 7+ years in ML/AI, with 3+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
• 3+ years integrating large models (LLMs) into enterprise products.
• 2+ years designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures—multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, and advanced RAG pipelines.
• 6+ years of experience optimizing application performance and token/cost management for LLMs.
• 6+ years of cloud experience (AWS, GCP) to deploy scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end system design, implementation, and product integration for intelligent agents.
• Architect and orchestrate multi-agent frameworks and RAG pipelines to deliver enterprise-grade AI capabilities.
• Ensure governance, data privacy, and reliability when handling sensitive HR/financial data.
