Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a Head of AI Enablement Engineering in San Francisco to own the mission of making Deepgram an AI-native company. You will personally build agents and workflows, set engineering standards, and drive adoption across engineering, security, and platform teams.

You will lead a small, high-impact team, partner with People Ops for AI onboarding, and stay ahead of rapid AI changes to deliver measurable productivity improvements and quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering leadership and hands-on ability to build production-quality agents, tools, and automations.
• Deep fluency with modern AI tooling, LLM applications, prompting, retrieval, and orchestration.
• Experience driving technology adoption at scale in AI-native environments.
• Ability to influence across business and technical functions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive AI enablement engineering strategy, standards, and hands-on builds.
• Evaluate and prototype AI tools, agents, models, and orchestration layers; avoid tool sprawl.
• Build reference implementations: reusable agents, MCP servers, workflows, and libraries.
• Define company-wide AI adoption metrics, milestones, and reporting cadence.
• Partner with Security and Platform to embed guardrails and data handling practices.
• Lead a distributed champions network and grow a central enablement team.
• Collaborate with People Ops on AI-native onboarding and enablement.
• Stay ahead of AI advances and translate them into practical Deepgram capabilities.
