Job summary

ThriveCart is building a best-in-class editor for ecommerce conversion, and this role leads that team. The hybrid position blends technical leadership with AI-native product thinking, owning priorities, mentoring the team, and shipping features that genuinely move conversion.

You’ll shape AI behavior inside the page builder, drive sprint planning, and personally tackle critical-path work when needed. Expect responsibility for output and delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years professional software engineering experience, with 1-2 years in a lead capacity.
• Hands-on experience in PHY.
• Hands-on experience building consumer-facing web products at scale—page builders, editors, or visual editing tools.
• Demonstrated track record shipping AI-powered product features, not just using AI coding tools.
• Experience working directly with a PM on roadmap and feature definition.
• Comfortable being the primary escalation point for production issues on their product area.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction for the editor, including AI integration and content generation features.
• Lead the team's delivery: sprint output, reviews, and unblocking when needed.
• Manage incident response and production health for the editor.
• Ramp and mentor the team in AI tool usage and development practices.
• Own sprint planning, task breakdown, and prioritization for Editor 2.0.
• Unblock engineers daily and take on critical-path work when the team is short-handed.
